Hazelnut Vanilla Oolong Tea

A unique seasonal favorite, Hazelnut Vanilla is a combination of layered natural flavors on a traditional Ti Kuan Yin oolong. Hazelnut and vanilla complement and enhance the base oolongs roasted notes delivering a scrumptious cup of tea. Finished with real hazelnut pieces, this brew is sure to please.

Loose Leaf Brewing Instructions: Start with cold water and bring water to just under a boil (185° – 195°). Add tea leaves, one heaping teaspoon per cup of water. For iced tea, add one level tablespoon. Pour hot water over leaves and steep 2-5 minutes. Remove or strain tea and enjoy!

Flavor: As a general rule, the lower oxidized oolongs have more floral and vine fruit characteristics, while the mid-oxidized oolongs have more stone fruit and nut characteristics. The higher oxidized oolongs tend to provide more nut, honey, and woody characteristics.

Caffeine Level: Oolong teas have just as much antioxidants as that of other tea types. Oolong teas have a wide range of caffeine levels depending on oxidation level. The greener oolongs are similar to green tea, while the darker oolongs are similar to black tea.
